The method of curing various ailments by being buried in the sand in the Qumota area of the Shakhrisabz district is causing discussions on social media. In the circulated video, some citizens stated that by using this method, they feel relief from the pain troubling them.

According to the video's creator, sand therapy can be beneficial for leg and bone pain, as well as illnesses like rheumatism. Accordingly, people undergo treatment by being buried in hot sand for a certain period.

Interestingly, although the person who filmed the video is from the Shakhrisabz district themselves, they stated that it was their first time visiting the Qumota area. Although interest in this method is high among the population, no medical conclusion regarding its effectiveness in treating various diseases has been provided.
