The highly anticipated derby between Pakhtakor and Bunyodkor took place in Tashkent as part of the 27th round of the Super League. The match, held at the Jar Stadium, provided fans with high tempo, impressive combinations, and six goals.
The "Lions," who started the match actively, gained the advantage from the very first minutes. In the 6th minute, Dostonbek Hamdamov opened the scoring for his team and added to the game's intrigue. Six minutes later, Hojiakbar Alijonov scored a superb goal from a distance - 2:0. After him, Temurkhuja Abdukhalikov scored another goal in the 57th minute, bringing the score to 3:2. At this point, Pakhtakor's defense was somewhat involuntary, but experienced players managed to stabilize the situation.
In the final minutes of the match, the "Bunyodkor" team played actively, but failed to capitalize on their opportunities. In the 90+5th minute, Hojimat Erkinov, coming on as a substitute, scored a goal and set the final score - 4:2.
Thus, after the crucial derby, Pakhtakor reached 55 points and secured 3rd place in the Super League table. This victory was of great importance for the "Lions" not only in terms of points, but also in terms of morale. "Bunyodkor" remains in 5th place with 46 points.
