Bodø/Glimt stun: Manchester City lose in Norway

In Matchday 7 of the UEFA Champions League, Manchester City travelled to Norway to face Bodø/Glimt. Many expected the visitors to dominate, but a completely different script unfolded on the pitch.
Early on, the hosts produced an unexpected “burst”: Høg scored twice in quick succession in the 22nd and 24th minutes to put Bodø/Glimt in front. The first half ended 2–0 to the Norwegians.
After the break, Bodø/Glimt kept the pressure on. In the 58th minute, Haug made it 3–0. City responded immediately: in the 60th minute Cherki pulled one back to restore some intrigue — 3–1.
But in the 62nd minute came a decisive moment: Rodri received his second yellow card and was sent off. Down to ten men, Manchester City tried to turn things around, but the score stayed the same — 3–1.
Uzbekistan national team centre-back Abduqodir Husanov played the full 90 minutes and fought to the end in his team’s defence.
In the overall standings, Manchester City remain 7th with 13 points. Bodø/Glimt, on 6 points, climbed to 27th place.
