Nicolò Tresoldi: I’ve supported Milan since childhood, but we’ll see what the future holds

Club Brugge forward Nicolò Tresoldi told the Italian media in an interview that he has supported AC Milan since childhood and explained how important the club is to him. The Italian-German footballer Tresoldi currently represents Belgian club Club Brugge and the Germany youth national team. According to him, his affection for Milan was passed down by his grandfather, and family roots played an important role in that choice.

Childhood memories connected with Milan

In an interview with the My Turnover podcast, Nicolò Tresoldi recalled how he became a fan of the club:

• His grandfather was a Milan fan and had once coached Marco van Basten, Frank Rijkaard and Ruud Gullit in golf.
• According to the footballer, his grandfather’s influence turned him into a passionate fan of the Rossoneri, and he still follows their matches today.

The footballer said he was inspired by Filippo Inzaghi’s performances while growing up and later followed Luis Suárez. He added that he now closely studies the movements of forwards such as Robert Lewandowski and Harry Kane.

Thoughts on Rafael Leão

During the interview, the forward also shared his thoughts on Milan leader Rafael Leão. Tresoldi said he had met the Portuguese footballer in person at San Siro and praised his ability highly.

According to reports, although Leão has recently faced some injuries and difficulties, Tresoldi firmly stated that Milan would not sell him. In the forward’s view, Leão was one of the key figures in Milan’s title triumph, and he believes the player can return to his previous level.
