Instructure education platform hit by hacker attack

Instructure, a major company in the educational technology sector, has confirmed a data breach involving its users' personal information. The hacking group ShinyHunters has claimed responsibility for this cyberattack. This is reported by Techcrunch.com reports .
The hackers claim to have obtained students' names, email addresses, and correspondence between teachers and students. Instructure acknowledged that this type of data was stolen, but emphasized that user password security was not compromised.
The ShinyHunters group claims that data from nearly 9,000 educational institutions and approximately 275 million people worldwide has been stolen. However, cybersecurity experts and TechCrunch note that the hackers may be exaggerating their impact.
Representatives of Instructure declined to provide detailed comments on the incident and stated that all updates will be published on the company's official page. Currently, company specialists are working to investigate the causes of the incident and strengthen security measures.
