Greg Brockman reveals how Elon Musk left OpenAI

In late August 2017, OpenAI founders discussed commercializing technologies and raising funds to create Artificial General Intelligence (AGI). At the time, Elon Musk demanded full control over the company. CTO Greg Brockman viewed Musk's offer of Tesla Model 3 cars to partners as an attempt to win them over. This is reported by Techcrunch.com reports .
During the meeting, Ilya Sutskever wanted to give Musk a picture of a Tesla as a friendly gesture, but the situation became tense. Realizing he could not gain control of the company, Musk became angry and left the room saying, "I refuse." He even asked Brockman in a threatening tone, "When are you leaving OpenAI?"
After this incident, Musk stopped providing financial support to the company and left the board of directors within six months. Nevertheless, he paid for office expenses shared with Neuralink until 2020. Currently, the lawsuits between OpenAI and Musk revolve around these 2017 disagreements.
Greg Brockman testified in court based on his personal diaries. He called this struggle with Musk "very painful." One of the messages submitted to the court revealed that Musk threatened Brockman and Sam Altman that they would "become the most hated people in America."
