As of October 6, the level of air pollution in Tashkent was 15 times higher than normal. This was reported by the IQAir portal.
At 09:00, the monitoring station in the capital recorded 380 AQI. It was established that the concentration of fine PM2.5 particles in the air is 15.4 times higher than the annual norm recommended by the WHO.
According to the Hydrometeorological Service Agency, the content of fine particulate matter PM2.5 in the air was 78.9 μg/m3, which is 2.2 times higher than the permissible norm of 35 μg/m3.
Experts are giving a number of the most important recommendations for health protection in such conditions. In particular: it is recommended not to exercise outdoors, to keep room and office windows closed, to go outside as little as possible, to wear a mask when going outside, and to use air purifiers at home.
Thus, it is emphasized that the residents of the capital must strictly follow these measures for the sake of safety and health.
