From April 1, a number of important innovations are introduced in Uzbekistan

Soon, a number of important changes will begin to operate in Uzbekistan. Among them, the main ones are:

  • State hospitals switch to a five-day workweek. To ensure uninterrupted medical service on holidays and weekends, a duty system will be introduced.
  • A number of payments will now be accepted only in cashless form. These include state services, electricity, gas, water, alcohol and tobacco products, AЁҚШ services, goods and services costing more than 25 million soums, as well as certain transactions with transport and real estate.
  • Purchase of alcohol and tobacco products with cash is prohibited.

A tax free system is introduced for foreigners. Now they can return 85% of VAT for goods purchased in Uzbekistan. The minimum purchase amount is 300,000 soums.

  • For women who have experienced violence, the “SOS” call option is introduced, which ensures their safety.
  • In some areas of Nukus city, benefits are provided for kindergarten payments.
  • For notaries, the maximum age limit is increased, creating conveniences in their activity.

In addition, these changes serve to ensure convenience and safety for the population and open new opportunities for entrepreneurs and citizens.
