Central Bank: Uzbeks Expect Income Growth and Major Purchases

The economic mood and confidence in the future play a vital role in the economy of Uzbekistan. The "Consumer Sentiment Survey" for the fourth quarter of 2025, published by the Central Bank, showed that the financial plans and expectations of our compatriots remain quite positive. Zamin.uz has analyzed the most interesting aspects of this report.

Optimistic Outlook: Will Incomes Rise?

According to the survey results, the population's confidence in economic stability remains at a high level. Most encouragingly, 67 percent of respondents expressed a firm belief that their personal incomes would increase over the next 12 months. This is a crucial signal indicating the preservation of purchasing power in the domestic market.

Spending Plans: Focus on Education and Housing

At the same time, a high willingness to spend was also recorded among the population. 76 percent of participants predict that their expenses will increase in the coming months. Our compatriots plan to spend their funds primarily in the following areas:

  • Home renovation and improvement;

  • Children's education and personal development;

  • Healthcare and medical services;

  • Household appliances and other major purchases.

Credit Activity and Automobiles

Interest in banking services is also growing today. 54 percent of those surveyed stated they intend to take out a loan in the near future. The population expects to direct credit funds not only toward home repairs but also toward the purchase of new cars and paying for educational contracts.

Savings: A Slight Decrease Amid High Expectations

Trends in saving have also maintained a positive trajectory. 62.6 percent of respondents hope to increase their savings in the future. Although a certain decrease in the volume of savings was recorded on a quarterly basis, experts explain this by the increase in current consumer spending and major purchases by the population.

In conclusion, the Central Bank analysis confirmed that the financial situation of the population is assessed positively, and short-term economic expectations are shaped with high optimism. This serves as a strong foundation for the stable development of the domestic market.
