Nebius and Meta signed a major contract for artificial intelligence

The Dutch company Nebius Group NV, founded by former Yandex CEO Arkady Volozh and specializing in cloud computing solutions for artificial intelligence technologies, has signed a long-term and strategic agreement with the American Meta Platforms Inc. for the supply of infrastructure for artificial intelligence projects. This was announced in a press release released by Nebius Group N.V. on Monday, March 16.
The agreement is designed for five years, during which the Nebius Group N.V. will provide allocated computing capacities worth $12 billion based on the NVIDIA Vera Rubin platform. The first deliveries are scheduled for the beginning of 2027.
Meta Platforms Inc. also committed to acquiring part of the future computing capacity of the Nebius Group N.V. in the new clusters for a period of five years with a total value of up to $15 billion. The remaining capacities are planned to be sold by the company to third-party clients or stored in reserve.
The total value of the deal is estimated at approximately $27 billion, and Bloomberg notes that this is one of the largest computing capacity contracts for Meta Platforms Inc.
"We are pleased to have expanded our new large-scale long-term strategic partnership with Meta in providing capacities," said Arkady Volozh.
Against the backdrop of this news, Nebius Group N.V. shares rose by 15% on Monday before trading. The value of the company's shares has increased almost fourfold over the past 12 months. Meta Platforms Inc. shares rose by 2.8%.
Also, in the fall of 2025, Nebius Group N.V. signed a five-year contract with Microsoft Corporation for almost $20 billion, and in March 2026, a $2 billion partnership agreement was signed with Nvidia.
This cooperation is considered one of the largest and strategic steps in the global market for infrastructure and computing capacity in the field of artificial intelligence.
