Digital passport system for humanoid robots introduced in China

The rapid development of the humanoid robot industry in China has faced the challenge of a lack of unified standards. Because different manufacturers use incompatible platforms, data synchronization, quality control, and security assurance are becoming difficult. Therefore, Hubei Province has become the first region to begin testing a "digital identity document" system for these devices. This is reported by Ixbt.com news.

Each robot is assigned a unique ID number that acts as a passport. This number includes the country and manufacturer code, device model, and an individual serial number. The system also stores information about the robot's technical specifications, "intelligence" level, and factory registration status.

The new platform allows for real-time monitoring of the device's condition. This includes tracking joint wear, battery status, task execution accuracy, and maintenance history. This system helps to quickly identify malfunctions, simplify the repair process, and increase operational transparency.

The ability to transfer robots between different platforms and workflows without re-verification is being introduced, which significantly reduces costs. Currently, local companies and research centers are participating in the pilot program. Once standards are approved, the system will be widely applied on an industrial scale, and a mandatory robot "registration" procedure will be implemented.
