Famous actor Tom Holland posted photos taken on the set on his account in the banned social network. These shots reflect the production process of the new movie titled "Spider-Man: New Day".
In the photos, the actor appears in an updated superhero costume and is seen talking to the film crew. According to available information, the movie is being filmed in Glasgow, the largest city in Scotland. The city has temporarily been transformed into New York as seen in the Marvel Cinematic Universe.
Work on "Spider-Man: New Day" began in August 2025. At the very beginning of the filming, the first teaser of the movie was shared on social media. Tom Holland returns to his role, and Zendaya (as Mary Jane) and Jacob Batalon (as Ned) have also joined the project.
The director of the film is Destin Daniel Cretton. The screenplay is once again written by Chris McKenna and Erik Sommers. According to reports, the movie will recreate the atmosphere of the popular 1990s animated series, but key plot details are not yet revealed.
The premiere date is expected to be July 31, 2026.
