Actor of Uzbek art, director, master of humorous songs and lyrics, Sherkozi Goziev, passed away at the age of 75, the Ministry of Culture of Uzbekistan reported.
Sherkozi Goziev was born in 1950 in the village of Chirkay, Buvayda district, Fergana region. He graduated from the construction faculty of the Tashkent Polytechnic Institute. Then he studied for 3 years at the directing department of the Tashkent Cultural and Educational Technical School.
In 1971, he enrolled in the acting department of the Ostrovsky Institute by correspondence and successfully graduated in 1976. From 1970, he began performing roles in the "Theater of Television Miniatures." From 1978, he began working at the Uzbek State Philharmonic.
In 1990, he played the role of a zootechnician in the Uzbek-Indian film "King of the Jungle." He also opened the "Sherkhan" studio and, in collaboration with Indians, filmed the comedy film "Sherkhan the Tractor Driver" in 2006 and the melodrama film "You Are Not Alone" in 2008.
The actor has also appeared in films such as "Brides' Revolt," "Children from Tanga," "Iron Woman," "Iron Man," "Golden Wall," "Sarvinoz 2," and "Jiblajibon."
