On September 2, President of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev held a meeting with the heads of prestigious Chinese companies as part of his official visit to China. Sincere communication became the main point of the business program.
The meeting was attended by the heads of China Gold, China Coal Resources, China Datang Corporation, Tianjin Rail Transit Group, Poly Changda, Tianjin Urban Construction, Jinchuan Group, China Synfuels, ST Wonderful, Mizuda, World Agriculture, Dongzhu Ecology and a number of other large corporations.
President Shavkat Mirziyoyev noted that the interest of Chinese business in the Uzbek market is growing year by year. According to him, last year alone, the volume of investments in our country exceeded $10 billion. This testifies to the high rates of development of economic partnership between the two countries.
At the meeting, new prospects for bilateral cooperation were discussed. In particular, issues of implementing joint projects in such areas as energy and geology, agriculture and water management, the chemical industry, and jewelry production were considered. Significant steps were also outlined for the modernization of urban public transport, the renewal of infrastructure, and the development of the tourism sector.
Thus, the meeting in Tianjin is expected to bring business cooperation between Uzbekistan and China to a higher level.
