With the onset of the cold season, the risk of fires and other emergencies increases. In this regard, specialists from the Tashkent city Department of Emergency Situations emphasize the need to follow simple but vital rules both in residential areas and workplaces.
To prevent fires and other emergencies, it is recommended to follow these simple but important rules: • Check chimneys — make sure they are clean, unobstructed, and in working condition. • Check gas appliances — invite specialists from the district gas service to inspect stoves, boilers, and other equipment and eliminate any malfunctions.
• Check electrical wiring — do not overload the network, and do not connect high-powered devices through a single extension cord. • When leaving your home or workplace, turn off all electrical appliances.
If you have even the slightest suspicion of a gas leak, it is strictly forbidden to use light switches or any devices that may cause sparks. Immediately ventilate the room, open windows and doors, and call the unified emergency number 112.
Following these rules will help prevent accidents and protect the lives of you and your loved ones.
