In Namangan, counterfeit medicines worth 15 billion soums were withdrawn from circulation

In the Namangan region, the sale of low-quality and unguaranteed medicines worth more than 15 billion soums was prevented. This was officially announced by the State Security Service.

According to the information, a resident of the Kasansay district, born in 1986, was found to be engaged in illegal drug trafficking. He was caught red-handed while attempting to sell 2,100 boxes of Ferromed, a medicine manufactured in India, for 168 million soums.

During operational measures, another 4,296 boxes of "Ferromed" were discovered and seized from his apartment. It was determined that the total cost of 6,396 boxes of medicines is 1 billion 223 million soums.

Currently, a case has been initiated against this person under Article 1863 of the Criminal Code, and investigative actions are being carried out.

Also, inspections were carried out in 3 non-residential buildings belonging to the warehouse manager of the LLC and his two acquaintances in Namangan. As a result, it became known that a total of 195,323 units of 2,307 types of medicines worth more than 12.8 billion soums are stored without documents. They were officially documented and sent for expert reviews.

In addition, 45,641 units of 128 types of medicines of foreign production with a total value of 1.2 billion soums were found in two secret warehouses in the city of Namangan and Uychi district.

Currently, forensic commodity and chemical examinations have been ordered for all cases. The pre-investigation check is ongoing.

It should be recalled that earlier, during special operational events held in the region, the activities of a number of hidden pharmaceutical warehouses were exposed.
