Uzbekistan national team and Manchester City player Abdukodir Khusanov has entered the list of Asia’s most highly valued footballers. According to Transfermarkt, the 21-year-old central defender is currently valued at €35 million. This makes him the third most expensive Asian footballer.
Only two players are ahead of Khusanov — Japanese forward Kaoru Mitoma (€40 million, Brighton) and South Korean national team defender Kim Min-jae (€40 million, Bayern).
Notably, Abdukodir Khusanov ranks higher than such globally recognized stars as Son Heung-min, Lee Kang-in, and Zion Suzuki. This reflects his potential, determination on the field, and high-level performances recognized internationally.

Experts say Khusanov’s high transfer value is tied to his age, technical skills, and experience at a major club. Moreover, he is still at the beginning of his career, and his market value may increase even further in the future.
Khusanov, becoming one of the most expensive players in Uzbekistan’s football history, serves as an inspiration for the younger generation. His journey in European football is being followed with great interest both locally and internationally. Read 'Zamin' on Telegram!
