Benzema reaches 500-goal milestone with a hat-trick

Al-Ittihad striker Karim Benzema has reached the milestone of 500 goals in his professional career. The French forward scored a hat-trick in the Saudi Pro League opening match against Al-Okhdood (5:2). His second goal became a career milestone and allowed him to reach 501 goals in 961 appearances.

The 37-year-old footballer began his professional journey at Lyon, playing in the first team from 2004 to 2009. He then spent 14 years defending the colors of Real Madrid. In 2023, Benzema left the “Los Blancos” and currently plays for the Saudi club Al-Ittihad under contract.
