Pedri wants to end his career at Barcelona

Barcelona's star midfielder Pedri has put an end to all rumors regarding his future. The Spanish talent stated that he is happy with his career at the Catalan club and would not trade the team for any offer. According to him, playing for this club was his biggest childhood dream. This is reported by Goal.com .

Pedri's connection to Barcelona has a deep family history. His grandfather founded an official supporters' club (penya), a tradition later continued by his father. "Playing for Barcelona is the ultimate happiness. I have dreamed of this since I was a child and I wouldn't trade it for anything now. I wish my grandfather could see me reach this level," the player emphasized in an interview with Televisión Canaria.

The player also spoke about how his famous nickname originated. While playing for Tegueste, his coaches started calling him "Pedri" to distinguish him from another player with the same name, as he was smaller and thinner. Today, this name has become one of the most famous brands in world football.

Despite providing 12 assists in 43 matches this season, the 23-year-old midfielder is not fully satisfied with his performance. He is working on developing his vision on the pitch, similar to his idols Xavi and Andrés Iniesta. Pedri intends to increase his efficiency to contribute more to the team.

"I think I need to improve my goal and assist stats. I set this as a goal for myself every year and I know I need to work harder to help the team," added the Barcelona leader.
