SpaceX prepares Starship V3 rocket for 13th flight

SpaceX is ramping up preparations for the next flight of its Starship V3 rocket, according to Ixbt.com. The prototype, designated as Starship number 40, has been moved to the Massey test site at the Starbase facility for its upcoming 13th test flight. Currently, cryogenic tests are being conducted to assess the structure's integrity and seal, which are essential parts of the pre-flight preparations. The U.S. Federal Communications Commission has granted permission for the use of radio frequencies for this flight, which will feature the new generation of Starship equipped with Raptor 3 engines known for their high thrust and cost-effectiveness.

According to Starship Gazer, the Starship prototype number 40 has been moved to the Massey test site at Starbase. This vehicle is scheduled to participate in the system's 13th test flight.

Currently, first-stage inspections—cryogenic tests—are underway. During these tests, the tanks are filled with ultra-cold fuel to evaluate the structural integrity and airtightness of the craft.
This is a mandatory part of the fire tests and pre-flight preparations.
The U.S. Federal Communications Commission (FCC) has granted authorization for the use of radio frequencies for the 13th flight, which will involve the Super Heavy B20 and Starship S40 prototypes.
The system's 12th flight will not take place before May 12. It will feature a new generation Starship vehicle equipped with Raptor 3 engines.
The new engines are characterized by higher thrust, lighter weight, and lower production costs.
