Samsung Galaxy Z Fold8 and Fold8 Ultra: First live images revealed

Samsung is preparing to introduce its foldable smartphones in two different versions simultaneously for the first time. Mockup images released by well-known insider Ice Universe clearly show the main differences between the traditional Galaxy Z Fold8 Ultra and the new Wide version. This is reported by Ixbt.com reports .

According to the information, the Galaxy Z Fold8 Ultra model will retain its tall and narrow form factor. The device features three cameras on the back panel, including a telephoto lens, and fits comfortably in a pocket when closed. This design offers users the ergonomics familiar from previous Fold models.

The new Wide version (tentatively named Galaxy Z Fold8) has a completely different look. It is shorter and wider, with a screen ratio closer to 4:3. This model resembles a "tablet" more and provides a wider area for watching videos and multitasking when unfolded.

Technically, the Galaxy Z Fold8 model is expected to be limited to a dual camera. The main advantage of the Wide version is the reduction of black bars when viewing content and the convenience of working in multi-window mode. The official presentation of the devices is scheduled for July 2026.

As a reminder, Ice Universe was among the first to provide accurate information about the iPhone X notch, the iPhone 14 design, and Samsung's 200-megapixel sensors. Their sources within the South Korean giant's research centers consistently leak reliable exclusive information.
