Apple Suppliers Raided at Moscow’s Gorbushka Market

A new series of large-scale searches has begun at companies supplying Apple devices at the famous Gorbushkin Dvor shopping complex in Moscow. According to the Baza and Mash Telegram channels, law enforcement officers searched the warehouses and offices of at least five stores. According to information from the scene, one of the floors of the building on Bagrationovsky Drive was partially cordoned off, while passageways were restricted with special tape and barriers. Preliminary reports suggest that iPhone models and other gadgets imported into the country may have been purchased in the United Arab Emirates and other countries.

One of the main issues drawing the attention of experts and law enforcement is the possible use of cryptocurrency for the purchases. Under the alleged scheme, devices purchased abroad were subsequently brought into Russia and offered for sale through retail networks.

Documents and Financial Transactions Under Review

Law enforcement representatives are currently examining in detail the purchase and supply documents of companies engaged in electronics sales. They are also reviewing all financial transactions, including payments made through digital assets.

Law enforcement agencies are working to establish the origin of the devices offered for sale and the exact routes used to bring them into the country. So far, official authorities have not commented on the reasons for the investigative actions or their precise procedural status.

It should be noted that these are not the first major investigative actions carried out recently at the Gorbushka market. Earlier, operations targeting illegal cryptocurrency exchange points at the shopping complex lasted nearly 24 hours.
