For low-income families, 40 percent of kindergarten fees are paid by the state

In Uzbekistan, the state will provide compensation for children from low-income families attending private kindergartens. This was reported with reference to a new regulation registered by the Ministry of Justice on October 23, 2025.

According to the new system, funds amounting to 40 percent of the nine-hour daily fee charged in state kindergartens will be directed to cover the expenses of low-income families whose children attend private preschools. These funds will be transferred directly to the bank accounts of the kindergartens.

The list of families eligible for compensation will be generated automatically through a special information system, ensuring that the process remains fast and transparent.

Additionally, private kindergartens that have contracts with the state may allocate up to 15 percent of their total admission quota for such children.

Experts note that the new system not only strengthens social support but also helps increase the number of children attending private kindergartens.
