President Shavkat Mirziyoyev got acquainted with the activities of the Premier household appliances manufacturing enterprise in the Ahangaran district. During the visit, it was noted that in recent years, due to measures to support the electrical industry, foreign investments and modern technologies have been widely entering the sector, deep processing of local raw materials, and the volume of import-substituting and export-oriented products is increasing.
It was reported that this project in Ahangaran is being implemented on an area of 10 hectares in collaboration with Fajr Al Mustaqbal General Trading. The complex, estimated at a total cost of $30 million, is planned to create 250 new jobs and launch $4 million in exports. So far, construction work has reached 95%, and $11.3 million in investments have been absorbed.
The geography of the enterprise's products is also quite large: it is planned to enter the markets of Azerbaijan, Kazakhstan, Tajikistan, Russia, Kyrgyzstan and Afghanistan. That is, it is not only about filling the domestic market, but also about strengthening the "Made in Uzbekistan" label in foreign markets.
It is noted that there are two such enterprises in Uzbekistan and four in Central Asia. Among them, this project ranks second in terms of product production volume. When the complex is fully commissioned, it is expected to produce $87 million in import-substituting products - this will both save foreign currency and increase competition in the market.
During the visit, the head of state inspected the work processes and product quality, talked with specialists and employees. The enterprise's development program for 2026–2027 was also presented and an exhibition of enterprises producing electrical products was introduced.
In short: this project is not a novelty of "one plant opened", but a real step that will serve to reduce import dependence in the domestic market and increase exports in the next two years. If the plans are fully implemented, household appliances from Ahangaran can become even more firmly established in the markets of neighboring countries with the formula "quality + price".
