1 trillion soums will be allocated to those in need during Ramadan

At a meeting held to further strengthen the social protection of the population during Ramadan, President Shavkat Mirziyoyev announced the adoption of important decisions to support vulnerable segments of the population.
It is noted that 750 billion soums will be allocated through the "Vakf" charitable public foundation, as well as 300 billion soums through the National Agency for Social Protection, to provide assistance to families in need during Ramadan. From these funds, it is planned to provide one-time material assistance to families in need, cover the costs of treatment and surgical interventions for persons with disabilities.
The head of state emphasized that it is a good tradition to visit the elderly, lonely and in difficult situations, and provide practical assistance to families during this blessed month. It was also decided to implement a set of measures under the motto "Ramadan - a month of mercy, harmony, and gratitude."
At the meeting, the necessity of forming a clear and transparent list of low-income families in each mahalla, fair delivery of assistance to citizens, regardless of their religion, nationality, and social background, was emphasized. Responsible agencies were instructed to establish strict control over this process.
