In Uzbekistan, demand for dates is increasing year by year, and the numbers confirm it. According to the National Statistics Committee, throughout 2025 a total of 13,983 tons of Arab dates were imported into the country from 19 countries. The total value of imports amounted to 10.3 million US dollars.
Notably, the volume increased by 3.4 thousand tons compared to the previous year. That is, the “date season” in the market is now felt not only around Ramadan, but almost all year round.
In 2025, the countries that supplied the most Arab dates to Uzbekistan were as follows:
- Iran — 11 thousand tons
- Tunisia — 809.6 tons
- Turkey — 416 tons
- Saudi Arabia — 327.9 tons
- Kazakhstan — 229 tons
- Azerbaijan — 223.5 tons
- UAE — 216.9 tons
- other countries — 768.7 tons
Prices in the market are also quite “interesting”: in 2026, 1 kilogram of Arab dates in Uzbekistan’s markets, depending on the variety and quality, is being sold for approximately 35,000 to 70,000 soums.
