The Cabinet of Ministers of the Republic of Uzbekistan adopted a resolution on the establishment of the "Yangi O‘zbekiston bunyodkorlari" badge.
In accordance with the decree, the badge is awarded to citizens who demonstrate an active civic position, patriotism, and selflessness on the path to building a new Uzbekistan, and who make a worthy contribution to the country's development and enhancing its international prestige.
Candidates are formed from among the following categories:
- scholarship holders of the "El-yurt umidi" Foundation;
- students of schools and Presidential schools;
- Graduates of the "Yangi O‘zbekiston" University;
- Participants of the "Prezident iqtidorli farzandlari" initiative;
- Talented compatriots united through the "Iqtidorli yoshlarni qo‘llab-quvvatlash" community.
The Ministry of Preschool and School Education organizes the work on the formation of the list of awardees. Foreign citizens and stateless persons may also be awarded the badge in agreement with the Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
The badge is awarded annually at the community congress and is awarded to an individual only once.
