In a conversation with young people, President Shavkat Mirziyoyev noted that 600 thousand young people enter the labor market every year. According to him, by 2030 this number could reach 1 million. Therefore, it was emphasized that creating conditions for young people to find decent jobs is one of the most pressing tasks facing the state.
It is noted that in a survey conducted among young people, one-third of the participants expressed a desire to become entrepreneurs. In order to turn this interest into a real opportunity, last year 400 million dollars were allocated to banks and the Youth Affairs Agency to ensure youth employment.
According to the data, 15,000 young people have started their own businesses through the "Youth Business" and "Step to the Future" programs. It was noted that as a result of these projects, 50 thousand people were employed. That is, a young entrepreneur is becoming an engine that provides jobs for several more families around him.
The President announced the allocation of an additional $200 million to further support youth entrepreneurship. These funds are expected to be an impetus for new projects and an opportunity to expand existing businesses.
It was also decided to increase the loan amount for self-employed youth from 100 million to 300 million soums. The credit limit for projects of young entrepreneurs can be increased from 5 billion to 10 billion soums. A new opportunity is opening up for innovative startups: it was announced that investments of up to $100,000 will be allowed in such projects.
In addition, it was noted that favorable financing packages will be introduced for young people who want to open branches by receiving a franchise from local brands that have created more than 1,000 jobs in the service and catering sector. That is, a "shortcut" is also being opened for young people who want to achieve results faster, relying on a ready-made and operating brand.
The conclusion is simple: at a time when the number of young people is growing, expanding opportunities for work, income, and doing business means strengthening the future from now. Now, the most important thing is that these opportunities work quickly and fairly on the ground.
