Uzbekistan supports young families

Starting in 2027, Uzbekistan will introduce additional benefits and other support measures for young families in which both spouses are at least 21 years old and are entering their first marriage. The new policy is aimed at strengthening family stability and expanding state assistance for newly married couples.
If such families are later included in the Social Register, financial support provided to family members, including subsidies, loans and grants, will be increased by 1.5 times compared with the amounts set by law. This means eligible households will be able to receive larger state-backed assistance than other recipients under existing rules.
The government is also planning another incentive linked to marriage contracts. Couples who sign a marriage agreement before registering their union will be exempt from paying the state fee normally charged for official marriage registration.
The measures are expected to encourage responsible family formation, improve legal and financial protection for young spouses, and offer stronger support to households that need social assistance.
