Nissan is bringing back the Primera model as an electric vehicle after 20 years

Nearly 20 years after the production of the classic Nissan Primera was discontinued, the model name may return to the market in a new format. According to Carscoops, the Primera is mentioned in a document from the Philippine Department of Energy as a fully electric vehicle with the same specifications as the Dongfeng Nissan N7. This was reported by Ixbt.com xabar.
According to the document, the new vehicle will have a body length of 4,930 mm and a wheelbase of 2,915 mm. It is powered by a single electric motor with 160 kW (218 horsepower) and 305 Nm of torque.

These specifications fully match the base version of the Nissan N7. A 60 kWh traction battery capable of providing a range of approximately 500 km has also been announced.
Given the alignment in dimensions and technical specifications, no major design differences are expected: the primary changes may be limited to the Primera emblem on the rear and potential cosmetic updates in the interior. The vehicle will likely retain the minimalist dashboard and the 15.6-inch media system screen.
Nissan has not yet officially announced a launch date for this version, but it previously confirmed that the N7 would be exported outside of China. The electric sedan itself is produced at the Dongfeng Nissan plant in Guangzhou and is the brand's first model fully developed independently by the Chinese joint venture, from design to component selection.
If Nissan does decide to use the Primera name for export markets, it could be a more powerful marketing move than the N7 index, as the Primera is well-known to buyers in Europe and Asia.
