A comprehensive media week project has officially launched in Uzbekistan

Rapid changes in the global information space, the increasing influence of social networks, and the rapid development of artificial intelligence technologies require a completely new way of thinking and working from representatives of the media industry today. In particular, the increase in the flow of fake news places a great responsibility on the shoulders of journalists, bloggers, and press secretaries.
Based on this need, one of the largest educational and practical projects of the year in our country, the "Media Week", was launched. This initiative aims to bring together journalists, bloggers, and information service workers on a single platform and bring their knowledge and skills to a new level.
This project, implemented by the Content Center and partner organizations, is expected to reach about 12.5 thousand participants throughout the republic. As part of the project, 5-day intensive training seminars and master classes will be organized in all regions from March 30 to June 26.
The most important feature of the program is the combination of theory and practice. During the training, participants will not be limited to theoretical knowledge, but will have the opportunity to work on real cases, analyze errors and master modern approaches.
The trainings will be attended by the country's leading media experts, editors and producers, and practical lessons will be held on such topical topics as content creation, fact-checking, digital hygiene, the UN and strategic communications.
The trainings will be organized separately in different areas - television journalism, print publications, blogging and press services of government agencies. Participants who successfully complete the courses will be awarded special certificates.
The first stage of the project will start on March 30 in the Republic of Karakalpakstan. The subsequent stages will cover all regions of the country. A large-scale Media Forum is planned to be held in each region at the end of the week.
The Media Week will be organized by region on the following dates:
⢠March 30 - April 03: in the Republic of Karakalpakstan;
⢠April 6 - April 10: in the Khorezm region;
⢠April 13 - April 17: in the Surkhandarya region;
