Visa-free regime may be introduced between Uzbekistan and Vietnam
On April 7, President of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev held a meeting with a delegation led by the Chairman of the National Assembly of Vietnam Tran Thanh Man, who is on an official visit to the country.

At the beginning of the conversation, the head of the delegation conveyed greetings to the leader of Uzbekistan from General Secretary of the Communist Party of Vietnam To Lam, President Luong Quang and Prime Minister Pham Minh Tinh.

The issues of further development of multifaceted relations between Uzbekistan and Vietnam, primarily in the trade, economic and investment spheres, were considered in detail.

The need to give a systematic tone to intergovernmental and interdepartmental dialogues was noted. The importance of effectively holding the Intergovernmental Commission meeting and business forum in Hanoi this year was emphasized.

It was agreed to prepare a comprehensive program for industrial cooperation in energy, geology, petrochemicals, electrical engineering, textiles, agriculture and other sectors to promote new projects.

Particular attention was paid to the development of exchanges in the fields of culture and tourism, including through the introduction of a visa-free regime.

It was agreed to intensify inter-parliamentary dialogue in order to ensure the practical implementation of joint initiatives.
