In the Marhamat district of the Andijan region, a case involving the sale of products containing potent substances was uncovered. During an operational raid, a citizen born in 1991 was caught red-handed at a shopping complex in the district center while selling 900 units of "Keto coffee mix" to an undercover buyer for 6 million soums.
During the investigation, it was revealed that the product was purchased from a store located at the "Jahon Savdo Kompleksi" in Andijan city. Subsequently, the operation continued, and a retail outlet belonging to a citizen born in 1987, residing in Andijan, was inspected. Another 480 units of "Keto coffee mix" were seized from the store.
The total weight of the confiscated products amounted to 11 kilograms. Laboratory analysis confirmed that the product contained the potent substance "sibutramine." It is noted that the circulation of this substance is prohibited within the territory of Uzbekistan.
Currently, a criminal case has been initiated against the individuals involved. Investigative authorities are continuing efforts to identify the source of the products, the supply chain, and other individuals involved in this case.
In short, the circulation of a prohibited substance sold under the guise of a "weight loss product" has been halted in Andijan. Such cases serve as a reminder: the presence of "coffee" or "fitness" in the name does not guarantee product safety.
