Andriy Shevchenko: "There is no place for Tymoshuk in Ukrainian football"

The President of the Ukrainian Football Association (UFA) Andriy Shevchenko commented on Anatoly Tymoshuk's victory in the court against UFA in Lausanne.

- Anatoly Tymoshuk won the appeal at the CAS court. What will be your next steps in this regard? Because, as I understand it, the previously imposed sanctions should be lifted.

- There is no place for Tymoshuk in Ukrainian football and there will be no place. This is the firm position of the whole society, me and all of us. We did not decide that he won the appeal at the CAS court.

I can say that for us he does not exist in Ukrainian football, and this is an absolutely clear issue for me. Therefore, I consider it unnecessary to raise this topic at all, said Shevchenko.

Recall that the Court of Arbitration for Sport (CAS) in Lausanne has upheld the appeal of former player Anatoly Tymoshuk against the decision of the UAF Disciplinary Committee.

The 45-year-old Zenit coach had demanded the lifting of the sanctions imposed on him for continuing to work for the Russian club during the Ukraine-Russia conflict.
