Former head coach of the Uzbekistan national team Temur Kapadze gave a big interview to "Garuda TV" during his trip to Indonesia. During the conversation, he once again recalled the clash between Uzbekistan U-23 and Indonesia U-23 in the semi-finals of the 2024 Asian Games and shared the secrets behind that evening.
According to Kapadze, that match was not only tactical but also the most important "test" of three years of hard work for the team.

"That match against Indonesia was a final test for us, demonstrating what we have achieved throughout the entire cycle. Because it was in this game that we won and qualified for the Olympics. There was very high pressure, a tense mood, and a nervous situation.
80% of the stadium was filled with Indonesian fans, who pushed their team forward like a true 12th player. But we didn't give up until the last minute and managed to achieve our goal. It wasn't just an argument - it was one of the most impactful matches in my career. "Indonesia was very flexible and strongly resisted," Kapadze said.

In this crucial semi-final, the Uzbekistan U-23 team won with a score of 2:0 and, as a result, qualified for the Paris Olympics.
