Uzbekistan rises to the top of the world ranking for internet speed

Efforts to improve the internet infrastructure in Uzbekistan are bearing fruit. According to the Speedtest Global Index, the world's most authoritative internet speed rating, Uzbekistan has achieved significantly high results over the past five years.

In particular, Uzbekistan, which ranked 133rd in this ranking in 2020, rose to 68th place by January 2025. This indicates that the country has risen by 65 places in terms of internet speed.

This success is considered the result of reforms aimed at the transition to a digital economy and the widespread introduction of modern technologies in the country.
