Artificial intelligence bot Diella, who was appointed to the ministerial level for the first time in the Albanian government, participated in parliament with her first speech. The newly appointed "minister" appeared before the deputies on screen in the form of a woman in a national Albanian dress and reminded everyone of the basic principles of the constitution during her three-minute address, AP wrote.
Speaking about institutions designed to serve the people in her speech, Diella emphasized that the law never deals with a person's chromosome, blood, or physical presence, but rather with responsibility, accountability, transparency, and equal opportunities for all citizens. He also noted that "any person can express these values no less than a colleague, and in some cases even more."
At the same time, the Minister of Artificial Intelligence stated that he interprets his mission not as taking over people's work, but as a supporting and assisting mechanism for them.
For information, as the world's first Minister of Artificial Intelligence, Diella was presented to the public last week by Albanian Prime Minister Edi Rama. According to him, Diella, which means "sun" in Albanian, will be responsible for the public procurement sector. According to the plan, the entire process of public procurement will be gradually transferred to artificial intelligence control.
This step by Albania gains attention not only in the history of the country, but also throughout the world as a new stage in public administration.
