Wispr Flow Introduces an AI-Powered Meeting Assistant for Mac Users

Wispr Flow, known as a popular dictation app, has officially launched a new AI-powered meeting note-taking service for Mac computers. According to ixbt.com, the tool can record conversations through system audio and transcribe them without adding a separate bot to meetings. Techcrunch.com reports that.

The new feature resembles the Granola app, giving users not only transcriptions but also the ability to monitor meetings live and receive AI-generated summaries. The system also creates tasks based on discussed topics and helps users search through the history of past meetings.

Privacy Policy and New Features

As part of the project, the company amended its terms of service and privacy policy. According to messages sent to users, the updated terms govern the processing of meeting data, participant information, speaker labels, and audio recordings.

In addition to organizing meeting transcripts, the AI analyzes them and provides key takeaways. This step significantly expands the startup’s functionality and represents an important move toward automating users’ daily tasks.

Market Competition and Prospects

With the product’s market launch, Wispr Flow is positioning itself as a major competitor to leading meeting recording and analysis services such as Granola, Fireflies, Read AI, Otter, and Fathom. Tanay Kotari, one of the company’s founders, had previously discussed plans to create an AI assistant in interviews.

To date, the startup has raised more than $81 million, and its latest valuation was $700 million. In May, Bloomberg reported that the company was discussing a new funding round that could value it at $2 billion. However, company representatives declined to comment further on the report.
