Samsung Acknowledges Red Tint Issue on Galaxy S26 Ultra Display

Samsung has issued its first official statement regarding an unusual display defect affecting owners of its Galaxy S26 Ultra flagship smartphones. In recent weeks, users had widely complained that a reddish rectangular area was appearing in the central part of the device's screen. The issue sparked heated debate in the technology world and raised concerns among buyers. This was reported by Ixbt.com.
According to ixbt.com, the company's official statement was published in the Samsung Members app for users in South Korea. Samsung representatives specifically emphasized that the defect was not related to the smartphone's hardware and that none of the device's components had been damaged.
Cause of the Defect and Its Resolution
According to the manufacturer, the problem was caused by a software glitch during the screen calibration process. To resolve this technical error, Samsung has introduced free service at its official service centers. It was noted that recalibration will be carried out regardless of whether the smartphone's warranty period has expired. The service is also expected to be provided on the same day customers submit their requests for greater convenience.
Remote Update and Future Plans
However, users may soon no longer need to visit service centers in person. The company is currently working intensively on a special software update that will be able to automatically correct the faulty calibration. The exact release date for the new software is expected to be announced later. Once the update is ready, users will be able to resolve the issue remotely without taking their smartphones to a service center.
In its statement, Samsung formally apologized to customers for the inconvenience caused. Company representatives said they would continue working to provide buyers with the best possible experience and expressed gratitude for their support.
