Google introduces new smart glasses with artificial intelligence

Google is returning to the smart glasses market. At the Google I/O 2026 event, the company announced a new line of AI-powered glasses in collaboration with brands Warby Parker and Gentle Monster. The devices were developed in partnership with Samsung and are fully compatible with Android and iOS smartphones. This is reported by Techcrunch.com reports .
The company calls these devices "audio glasses." Users can access the Google ecosystem, specifically Gemini capabilities, through voice commands. During the presentation, the process of ordering coffee online using the glasses was demonstrated.
Google previously experimented in this field with the Google Glass project, but it did not achieve the expected success at the time. Today, the smart glasses market has changed significantly. Tech giants like Meta and numerous startups are investing heavily in this direction.
The new devices are scheduled to go on sale by the end of this year. Google aims to leverage this innovative solution to make its Gemini AI service an integral part of daily life.
