The Government of Italy officially announced the allocation of 1500 jobs for Uzbek specialists starting from 2026. This information was conveyed through an official announcement distributed by the Migration Agency of Uzbekistan.
According to the announcement, this opportunity is linked to the high demand for skilled personnel in fields such as engineering, tourism, and agriculture. The Italian side specifically intends to attract skilled workers qualified in these sectors.
This initiative is implemented under the Memorandum of Understanding on Migration and Mobility, signed during the official visit of the Prime Minister of Italy, Giorgia Meloni, to our country this year.
Memorandum – a new phase of mutually beneficial cooperation
This agreement between Uzbekistan and Italy is expected to elevate bilateral cooperation in migration policy to a new level. At present, efforts are underway to practically implement the memorandum, including detailed work on its content and mechanisms.
Important statement by the Italian Ambassador
Piergabriele Papadia de Bottini, the Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Italy to Uzbekistan, called this agreement historic and provided the following explanation:
“The signed Memorandum of Understanding is a very important document in bilateral relations. Much effort has been put into it, and now we are eager for its rapid implementation. Migration today is a strategically significant area. Uzbekistan, with its extensive experience in this sector, serves as an example for other partners in Central Asia.”
Italy’s decision not only opens new opportunities for Uzbeks seeking employment but also represents a significant step toward organized and effective labor migration between the two countries. The number and scope of such projects may further expand in the future.
The positive outcomes indicate that relations between the two states are being built on a solid foundation. Read 'Zamin' on Telegram!
