
Uzbekistan’s Foreign Minister Bakhtiyor Saidov met with Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi, reports UPL. The visit marked another step in strengthening bilateral ties. Discussions focused on expanding cooperation in economics, culture, and other fields.
Following the meeting, Saidov noted that both sides reaffirmed their commitment to deepening strategic partnership. On his Telegram channel, he emphasized that the talks opened new prospects for collaboration beneficial to both countries.
Saidov’s visit was part of Uzbekistan’s broader efforts to enhance international relations. In recent years, Tashkent and New Delhi have significantly expanded trade and cultural exchanges. The two countries cooperate in IT, agriculture, and education. India views Uzbekistan as a key partner in Central Asia.
Talks also touched on regional stability and security. Both sides expressed interest in projects that build trust and regional cooperation. Saidov highlighted that the two nations share similar views on many global issues.
In the cultural sphere, a memorandum on joint film production was signed in 2024, marking a new phase in cultural exchange between the two nations.
