
1. According to our weekly analysis of the exchange rates published by the Central Bank of the Republic of Uzbekistan, during the upcoming workweek of 2025, the US dollar decreased by 4.71 soums against the national currency — the sum.
2. On July 24, 2025, clashes broke out as a result of the escalation of the 2025 border conflict between Cambodia and Thailand. 7. On July 24, entrance test exams for higher education institutions in Uzbekistan for the 2025–2026 academic year were completed. The minimum passing score for a state grant was set at 68.0 points (36% of the maximum 189.0), and for a paid contract — 56.7 points (30% of the maximum). According to the results of the exams, 826 applicants achieved the highest possible score of 189 points this year.
8. According to the monitoring results of daily gold bar sale prices published by the Central Bank of the Republic of Uzbekistan, the price of gold continued its upward trend during the next working week of 2025. The weekly analysis shows that the price of one gram of gold increased by a total of 15,800 soums. This indicates that the price of the smallest 5-gram gold bar rose by 79,000 soums.
