Toll road construction on the "New Andijan – Khanabad" route is being planned in Andijan. This was announced by the regional governor, Shuhrat Abdurakhmanov.
The implementation of the project is envisioned within the framework of attracting foreign investments, based on the instructions of the head of state. Representatives of the regional administration discussed the future of the project with Chinese investors and came to an agreement on its realization.
At the beginning of October this year, the Uzbekistan Automobile Roads Committee announced that it plans to increase the speed limit for vehicles up to 150 km/h. This measure is being considered in the new draft law on roads.
Additionally, the updated document also specifies the maximum tariff rates set for the use of toll roads.
