Launch of large-scale projects in Samarkand and a new step in the economy

President Shavkat Mirziyoyev arrived in the Samarkand region on a working visit and took an active part in the ceremony of launching large investment and construction projects in the region.

Within the framework of this ceremony, the head of state officially launched the activation of existing and the construction of new projects in Samarkand by pressing a symbolic button. These projects are being implemented in cooperation with Austria, China, the United Arab Emirates, Turkey, India, and Russia, and 53 large projects worth a total of $2.4 billion have been launched.

At the same time, construction work has begun on 53 projects worth $4.6 billion in cooperation with the Netherlands, Japan, South Korea, China, the United Arab Emirates, Turkey, Russia, and Iran.

As a result of the implementation of these projects, it is planned to create more than 18 thousand new jobs, produce industrial products worth 13 trillion soums, and provide an export potential of 700 million dollars. This will allow for the diversification of the region's industry, the expansion of modern production chains, and the further development of export geography.

During the event, an exhibition of products manufactured in the food, light industry, chemical and pharmaceutical industries, construction materials, metal and furniture industries was organized in the region. The President familiarized himself with the region's modern production facilities, advanced technologies and equipment, and industrial products.

These initiatives are considered an important step in transforming the economy of Samarkand into a high-tech and export-oriented region.
