Officials from the Ministry of Investment, Industry and Trade of Uzbekistan recently held a meeting with a Chinese delegation led by Wang Hongjin, the head of the commerce department of Shanxi province. The discussions focused on advancing the strategic partnership between the two nations, with a strong emphasis on enhancing interregional cooperation and sharing expertise across vital economic sectors. During the talks, the Chinese representatives expressed their commitment to broadening technological collaboration. They highlighted key areas of interest, including renewable energy, water conservation, industrial manufacturing, transportation, and agriculture. Both sides agreed to work together to develop a specific portfolio of new joint projects.
Another major topic of the meeting was the upcoming Third Uzbek-Chinese Interregional Forum, scheduled to take place from May 20 to May 22 in Xi'an, Shaanxi province. Officials underscored the importance of this forum as a crucial platform for strengthening regional ties and promoting collaborative initiatives. Business representatives from both countries are expected to actively participate in the event.
To ensure the successful implementation of these plans, the two parties established a joint working group. Comprising responsible officials from both sides, this group will coordinate future efforts and oversee the execution of the agreed-upon projects.
