Safety advisory for Uzbeks in Turkey

The Consulate General of Uzbekistan in Istanbul has urged its citizens, temporarily staying or residing in Turkey, to increase personal safety and follow a number of important rules.
According to the consulate’s recommendations, Uzbeks should avoid suspicious situations, refrain from participating in mass gatherings and demonstrations, and remain especially vigilant in crowded places.
If their rights are violated or an emergency arises, they are advised to immediately contact local law enforcement (155 – Police, 156 – Gendarmerie) or the consulate’s 24/7 hotline.
The consulate also reminded citizens to be cautious when processing documents, dealing with fraudsters, or using unauthorized taxi services. They stated: “Dear compatriots, your rights and interests are under the protection of the state!”
These recommendations aim to ensure the safety of Uzbeks in Turkey and strengthen precautionary measures.
