Madagascar’s president fled the country amid uprisings

It has been reported that Madagascar’s president, Andri Radzuelina, left the country following unrest across the country, especially in the capital Antananarivo. African sources report this.

According to the information, the army’s Personnel Management Corps — CAPSAT — refused to carry out the order to open fire on the insurgents and called on the top military command to do the same. This decision is said to be aimed at preventing the use of force.

The unrest intensified at the end of September due to constant water and electricity outages. Disruptions in infrastructure increased public discontent and led to mass demonstrations.

According to preliminary UN figures, at least 22 people were killed and more than 100 civilians were injured during the clashes. It is reported that official statements are being made and security measures have been strengthened.

Experts emphasize the need for political dialogue, urgent infrastructure reforms, and ensuring information transparency to stabilize the situation.
