56 taxi drivers raised money to treat a dog hit by a car

In the Chinese city of Xuancheng, 56 taxi drivers raised money in mid-April to operate on a stray dog named Boss Xuan, who had been hit by a car. This was reported by the South China Morning Post.
The animal had lived at the local railway station for a long time and became a favorite of the local drivers, who nicknamed him "Boss Xuan." The taxi drivers often fed the dog and spent time with him during breaks between trips.
After the dog was hit by a car, the taxi drivers took him to the vet. Doctors diagnosed the pet with multiple fractures, and the treatment was estimated at about 10,000 yuan. Within a few days, the taxi drivers collected about half of the amount. Another 2,000 yuan was paid by the driver who hit the dog. After that, the clinic decided to help the taxi drivers and reduced the cost of the surgery to 4,000 yuan.
Two weeks after the surgery, Boss Xuan was able to stand on his feet. The taxi drivers continue to visit the dog at the clinic.
The animal's future is currently being discussed. Interest in this story has grown rapidly on Chinese social media. Some users are suggesting creating a safe, fenced area for the dog near the train station.
