Uzbekistan and Qatar will also prepare an agreement on preferential trade. This was stated by Minister Laziz Kudratov during meetings with representatives of Qatar’s state and business sectors.
The events were attended by leaders of major companies such as Qatar Pharma, Tamam International, Almana Group, Ariane Real Estate, Retaj Group, Al Mansour Group, Petro White, Qatar Mining, Global Infrastructure Partners, Qatar Investment Authority, and Al Jabor Trading.
The Uzbek side presented investment opportunities in the fields of energy, pharmaceuticals, mechanical engineering, building materials, food and textile industries, mining and processing of natural resources, as well as tourism.
The business circles of the two countries have now agreed on localizing pharmaceutical production and implementing projects in construction and real estate. In addition, investments will be directed toward developing “smart” city areas, mining and processing of natural resources, tourism infrastructure, and the hotel business.
In 2026, a Made in Uzbekistan exhibition will also be held in Doha, and both sides agreed to establish an Uzbekistan–Qatar Business Council.
